• Lavender Heart Favors

Dried lavender buds are traditionally used to make sachets as gifts, but they can also be made into sweet little lavender hearts to be utilized as place cards and also as favors for guests to take home. The fragrance will last quite a long time.

lavender-heart-favorTo make the favors, bend a purple chenille stick into a heart shape and twist the ends together to hold them. Pour lavender buds into a small bowl. Then dab craft glue on one side of the heart and dip it into the buds. Fill in any bare spots with glue applied with a small craft brush. Add a ribbon and a name tag, and you’re done.

  • Loving Lavender

It’s that time of year … lavender is abundant in many parts of the country, and it makes fabulous wedding bouquets! For a small bouquet that could be used as favors or carried by your bridesmaids, all you have to do is gather the stems, trim them to the length you want, and tie the lavender with a pretty ribbon. Be sure to keep it in a glass of water until you are ready to use it. Lavender can get droopy in warm weather of if kept out of water for too long.

Lavender also combines beautifully with just about every herb or flower, and is happy in a bouquet holder as well. Use it everywhere, from the guest book to boutonnieres. Everyone loves the scent, and it will be a wedding to remember, as scent plays such a huge part in how our memories are stored. Enjoy!lavender
